Welcome to Suffolk Massage Therapy

Hello, I’m Sarah Kelleway, the therapist behind Suffolk Massage Therapy.

I offer mobile massage treatments for women who want to feel calmer, more comfortable, and more connected to their bodies without the stress of travelling to a spa, salon, or clinic.

As a mum of two myself, I know how hard it can be to find time to look after yourself when all you seem to do is look after everyone else!

I set up Suffolk Massage Therapy to make massage feel accessible, reassuring, and easy to fit into real life. Whether you are managing a busy work schedule, family responsibilities, physical tension, or simply feeling worn out, my aim is to bring professional massage therapy to you in a way that feels calm, respectful, and personal.

Instead of needing to drive somewhere, find parking, or rush home afterwards, you can enjoy your treatment in the comfort and privacy of your own home!

Why I offer mobile massage for women

Many women spend a lot of time looking after everyone else.

Work, family, caring responsibilities, household jobs, emotional load, hormones, stress, and the general pace of life can all take their toll. It’s easy to keep pushing through tiredness, tension, and discomfort until your body starts demanding attention.

Mobile massage gives you space to pause.

By bringing the treatment to your home, I aim to make it easier for you to prioritise yourself without adding another appointment, journey, or task to your day. You can stay in a familiar environment, relax more easily, and avoid having to drive home immediately after your treatment.

For many clients, this is one of the biggest benefits of mobile massage: once the appointment is finished, you can stay relaxed. You can put the kettle on, rest, drink some water, or simply enjoy a little quiet time.

Even better, if you book a massage in the evening, you can pop on your PJs and get straight into bed afterwards - bliss!

About me

I haven’t always been a massage therapist. In fact, I started out as a secondary school teacher (definitely a job requiring lots of self care at the end of the day!). From teaching, I moved into working in Higher Education, supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds to consider university study in their future.

I’ve always wanted to help others, and there’s nothing better than supporting somebody to improve their lives in some way.

Despite my work in education, I had always enjoyed the idea of becoming a massage therapist (being a huge fan of massages myself!), and considered training early on in my teaching career. However, the demands of my job made this feel like an impossible task.

It was COVID that brought the opportunity to finally make the change. I was furloughed from my work at the university and this gave me some thinking space. By this time, I’d also become a mum for the first time, and if there’s one thing I learned about teaching, is was that I wanted to be present for my children as much as possible - to be the one to drop them off and pick them up after school, to be available to go in and help with reading or school trips, or to have the time to bake cakes for cake sales.

I knew I wanted another career path that would give me this flexibility while also getting job satisfaction, and I finally set out to train as a massage therapist in September 2020.

I’m so glad I did.

I love my work - helping to create a calm, comfortable space for women feeling rushed off their feet. I love it when a client tells me how their sleep has improved, their period pains are better, or simply that they feel lighter and more relaxed.

After my initial training, I went on to train in deep tissue, lymphatic drainage, pregnancy, oncology, Lava Shell and Indian Head massage. I also became certified in body wrap treatments and facials.

I particularly love working with pre- and post-natal women, having been in that stage of life very recently.

I also trained as a Baby Massage Instructor and Calmer Stories Instructor, as I’m passionate about getting the whole family involved in positive touch therapy and relaxation!

Treatments available

Suffolk Massage Therapy offers mobile massage treatments designed to help you relax, ease general muscle tension, and feel more comfortable in your body.

Treatment options include:

  • Relaxing Swedish massage

  • Deep tissue massage

  • Neck, shoulder, and back massage

  • Indian Head Massage

  • Pregnancy massage for mums-to-be from 12 weeks of pregnancy

  • Lava Shells massage

  • Oncology massage for those living with or recovering from cancer

  • Prescriptive facial treatments

  • Bespoke treatments tailored to your needs

Every treatment is personal. Some clients want a gentle, soothing massage to help them unwind. Others prefer more focused work on specific areas of tightness, such as the shoulders, lower back, or legs.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Your treatment will be based on how you feel, what your body needs, and what you are comfortable with on the day.

A calm and respectful approach

I understand that inviting a therapist into your home and having a massage can feel personal.

My approach is calm, professional, and respectful. I want you to feel listened to, comfortable, and in control of your treatment from beginning to end.

That means:

  • Explaining what to expect

  • Checking your preferences

  • Respecting your boundaries

  • Adapting the pressure to suit you

  • Creating a relaxed treatment space

  • Making sure you feel comfortable throughout

You should never feel rushed or awkward about asking questions. This is your time, and the treatment should feel right for you.

For further peace of mind, I’m also fully insured, DBS-checked, and qualified in first aid.

Why choose Suffolk Massage Therapy?

Choosing a massage therapist is not just about the treatment. It is also about trust.
